The Grumman Albatross is back in production under licence by Amphibious Aircraft Industries of Darwin, NT, Australia. The G-111T version has Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67F engines rather than the radials. I hope the venture goes well. Maybe the RNZAF and RNZN should consider getting some for coastal patrol work, SAR, VIP transport, etc. Here is their website www.amphibaircraft.com/g-111t

Yeah we have two bases with harbour access, oh wait we closed them.
