There were two Honours awarded that related to aviation, specifically with the military.
Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit: Air Commodore Darryn Robert Webb for services to the New Zealand Defence Force
The New Zealand Distinguished Service Decoration: Wing Commander Richard Francis Deihl for services to the New Zealand Defence Force
And not directly aviation related, but associated with war commemoration in general;
Knight Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit: Robert Nairn Gillies for services to Māori and war commemoration. "Bom" is the last remaining member of the 28th Māori Battalion.

It used to be that a separate military list was published but since MBE and OBE went out of favour the military are no longer recognised. these days the forces are relegated to persona non grata .Certainly no tlike in the USA where it is common for members of the public to approach service people, both serving and veterans and thank them for their service. when "Bom" passes out for the final time the media will have to realize that there were other units in the army besides the 28th, they are the only one to ever to get s mention.
i a will hae to realise that 28 Battalion
