Hi guys I'm looking for a larger version of the picture below featuring the nose art of NZ3503. I've traced line art over the top but lacking clear detail to get the babies ugly face right. Once I get it looking bang on I'll laser engrave it onto acrylic for the owner of 3503 as per the bottom pic. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kind Regards Nigel

Think this new photo should nail it... "Unknown serviceman painting nose art onto a No. 40 Squadron Dakota, believed to be NZ3503, at RNZAF Station Whenuapai. Nose Art reads: "Anything Anytime Anywhere" - 8/5/1944" (WhG2124-44)(Air Force Museum Collection)

So that is 2 variations of the artwork(font, style and placement are different), or was it on numerous aircraft?

I seem to recall being told that the artwork appeared on several of their aircraft, but I have never seen any proof to confirm that.
There is also different variations of the Popeye artwork that was worn on NZ3501, but I am not sure either if they were multiple aeroplanes.

There was also a C-60 Lodestar wearing this marking with 40 Squadron, which actually appeared on this site several years ago, but may have been "lost" - not a high quality print, but only photo of a Lodestar with marking applied I have ever seen. Also on at least two C-47s, maybe more. There was a large centrespread article in the Weekly News about mid-1944 which shows the original sketch for this marking, apparently the winner of a competition to come up with a unique squadron marking, which according to the caption was hoped would eventually be applied to all squadron aircraft, but this certainly never happened!

I'm looking to recreate some of these nose arts for printing onto merch, mainly cups, coasters etc etc Cheers Nigel
