Hi guys, Richard Waugh will be familiar to most of you who have an interest in New Zealand civil aviation history and I know that some of you are personal friends of his, Hi Peter Layne. Richard is also an enthusiastic member of the Jaguar Car Club and has produced a beautiful book on the Jaaaaag in New Zealand. The official book launch was in Nelson, since the Nelson Classic Cars Museum has one of the best collections of Jags in the country. Last weekend I went along and said Gidday to Richard and his cohort Graeme McConnell and to take a look at a small but nice gathering of the manufacturer's vehicles in the NCCM's car park. The cockpit of this rather cool Lancia. _DSC4709 A shapely rear end. _DSC4726 Style icon, the E Type always catches the eye. _DSC4729 _DSC4732 _DSC4735 I'm not an aficionado so I don't know my Jag marks; an open top coupe catching the sun. _DSC4714 A pretty tourer. _DSC4715 A Mark II (I know that much). _DSC4716 Richard Waugh in the background having a chinwag with an interested onlooker. _DSC4733some more modern variants. _DSC4717 _DSC4721 The two in the background with their hoods up are displayed in the museum. _DSC4722 _DSC4723 These outside the museum entrance. _DSC4737 Beautiful XJS. _DSC4739 More images here: www.flickr.com/photos/147661871@N04/albums/72177720297127274/with/51918303583/Here's a link to the book on the Paper Plus website - I don't work for Paper Plus, just wanted to put a page up with the book on it. www.paperplus.co.nz/shop/books/non-fiction/transport/classic-jaguars-in-new-zealandThanks for looking.

In the 1960s if you told the girl you had an E type you were certain to get a date, but when you turned up driving a Morris Series E, retention of interest was not assured ...

The one car I want is an E-Type. Man it looks good. The fastest thing in a E-type Jag was the speed with which it rusted.

In the 1960s if you told the girl you had an E type you were certain to get a date, but when you turned up driving a Morris Series E, retention of interest was not assured ... I imagine the same would hold true today.
