She flies!! On 27 May Jonny took ZK-RWW on a series of hops along rwy14:
Last night was a repeat performance on rwy29 seal, although I had to leave right after and miss a much longer flight:
I missed Jonny taking her up this morning but tonight was a blast around the paddock which was great to watch:
It’s been a great weekend for Scout fans! Bravo Jonny and everyone involved in this wonderful project!

Jonny has swapped out the tuned exhaust for the original - much less bark, and while holding the tail I didn't feel the need for ear protection!
Once the weather improves we'll get to see how she performs now.

Turns out the original exhaust wasn’t performing to Jonny’s satisfaction, so it’s back the the tuned version. It was great to see him out and about tonight!

He's only gone and got another one...this time a Mk.IV that has been stored at Waipukurau for several years! He and I drove over and collected it on Thursday and spent yesterday reassembling it and cataloguing what parts are missing and those which need repair/replacement:  Untitled by Zac Yates, on Flickr |
