Cos Tonkas are cool? I know one performed at the Australian Bicentennial Air Show at Richmond in 1988 but beyond that I can't speak to any connection between the type and Australia.

Apparently it's a gift aircraft from the British MOD. A GR.4.

Plenty of ex Tornado pilots are now in the RAAF? At least 3 on the Sqn I'm on. And confirmed today that 1 of the ex UK and 1 exRAAF exchange on the sqn has this aircraft in their logbooks.

That’s interesting. 79 sqn Hawks the connection? Must be a few ex RAF hawk drivers who came to RAAF as instructors and a nice Pearce posting..
