Does anyone happen to have photos of Fieldair DC-3 ZK-AWO operating from Taumarunui around 1972 to 1975? The pilot Neville Worsley regrets he has no photos from those days he flew the Dak from that airfield so I thought I'd see if we can find any.

Thanks Bob, but Neville is specifically keen to find photos of AWO in that time period stated (1972-75) when he was its captain, actually at Taumarunui rather than anywhere else.

Taumarunui has as good or better a grip on its history than any other town in NZ that I know of. I think the catalyst is this group: www.rollbacktheyears.co.nz/. If they don't know....

I'm not aware of any publication that refers to the Dak at Taumarunui; just saying that since they have covered almost every aspect of Taumarunui history (particularly machinery, sawmilling, transport etc) I'd be surprised if they haven't covered aviation. As far as I know the "Roll Back the Years" guru is a bloke named Ron Cooke

I understood perfectly - Roll Back the Years published a magazine on every element of local history every second month starting back in 1980. I have issues right up to issue 54 (Oct 1987) so there may be Dak photos in one of the issues. I'll post the result. Edit. I've checked the indexes for vol 1 -3. There are no Dakoata photos in fact there are very few aircraft articles. Topdressers are limited to Tiger Moth, Ceres, Beaver and one Fletcher.
