For Sale - Pitts Model 12
Last chance before marketed overseas.
Be the new owner, or syndicate owner, of the only Pitts Model 12 flying in New Zealand, a tremendous aeroplane and a true joy to fly.
This particularly Model 12 was the 51st to fly worldwide, expertly built by John Eaton, and first flew in 2010. Since that time it has accumulated only 150hrsTT (airframe, engine, prop) and is in immaculate overall condition.
Equipped with a first life (new) 360hp Vendeneyev M-14P radial and 3 blade MT prop, it has performance in spades. The M-14P engine is a wonderful powerplant and has great worldwide support for spares etc, nationwide knowledge is excellent too as it is widely used in the Yak-52.
On top of being a phenomenal 2 seat aerobatic platform it also serves as a capable cross country aeroplane. Cruising at approx. 140kts IAS, burning just under 60L/HR, with a 200L fuel capacity, you can get places quickly. Unlike every other Pitts baggage isn't an issue as the luggage locker is huge and comfort in the semi reclined seating position excellent (cabin heat and air vents also).
Full canopy fitted but has convertible open cockpit option.
Aileron spades (not fitted).
Smoke system.
Good spares and tools package.
I would be keen to discuss potential syndicate options also as a small syndicate of 3-4 could work, I could be keen in this instance (ideally based at Omaka).
