Im trying to find any war time dates and locations for Flying Officer Blencowe , He was born in Wellington in 1915. He was a Tailors Cutter before the war and a Rationing Inspector in Auckland after the war, so a varied career. This is all I know about his service period. 

He was according to a May 1942 newspaper article at the City Hotel Rotorua so guessing in training at ITW
Was gazetted Flying Officer 25 May 1944 (NZ Gazette 1944 ISSUE 071, 17-Aug, pp 985)

Look on this website for any mention of his surname found nothing with a search.

My tribute page to one of our family from New Zealand that paid the ultimate price. Subsequent to this post I found a photo in Papers past of Sergeant W Blencowe playing rugby for the RNZAF Headquarters Team in July 1942. So the possibility is that he was a Flying Officer Rank based in HQ and not operational. I post the photo because it has the entire team named.
