Wow, this chap must have had a few stories to tell. Staff Sergeant P. Quilliam, M.M., selected as quartermaster-sergeant of the Special Air Service squadron being raised in New Zealand for service with the 22nd Special Air Service Regiment in Malaya. He has made more than 100 parachute descents, including the epic drop on Arnhem. He joined the London Scottish in 1938 and in 1940 volunteered for parachute duty. His first operational jump was made in North Africa on November 16, 1942. Others were made in Sicily, Italy, Denmark, Palestine and Singapore. The Press, 19 May 1955

Apparently he was Staff Sergeant Peter Paul Quilliam MM, 1921-2004.
