ITS DONE!!!! At long last I have finished the Andover. Special Thanks to Craig (Talon) from Stinger Decals, who made up the low vis Roundels and codes etc. I'm pretty happy with the result, considering the "Basic" Nature of the kit. There are one or two little errors, which are the result of the poor kit. Most people wouldnt worry about them, but they bug me because I know they are there! (the Nacelles sit at the wrong angle, compromising prop clearance, and the tail fin leans slightly to one side...). I hope these unavoidable glitches won't offend the many Andover fans on the forum. Thanks for your encouragement guys!. The Paint finish is brush painted, as I still prefer this method in most instances, and the decals are a mix of the Stinger roundels and codes, and inkjet printed warning boxes etc. Note the "toasting Grill" parachute guard on the tailcone - I worried how to replicate this until I had the idea of cutting it out of clear plastic, etching the mesh details in it, wiping it with green paint and removing all the excess, then painting in the frames. On this scale the result works! Hope you like it!

Nice result, especially when the base kit is a vac-form. Looking at those decals now, I think I should probably have provided white underlays for the roundels and fin flashes as they look a little dark, most likely due to the translucency of the decals against the dark paint.

It's good to see the completed kitset Bruce, well done. Phew, that kit looks like it was a challenge, but you've produced great results. I'm always amazed that 1970's Airfix never modelled the Andover in 1/72, it'd have been right up their alley.
