Hamilton Gardens are really impressive for sure...I suspect of lot of Aucklanders just fly to the gold coast rather than exploring our country...and cannot see past their navel...real shame..I have stayed in Cambridge three times over the years at the local Hotel,Motel and lemingtons camping ground.. In my rowing club we used to compete at Karipiro and sure is a nice drive the back way..I often thought of opening a 40s style tearooms rather than this trendy coffee stuff. An example of this is at Rotorua's blue baths where you really feel you are moving back in time..Around the National Hotel Cambridge would be a good location...maybe . Te Awamutu administation would irk me for sure...miles away...Every distinct distict town should have its own elected town mayor with a few other elected officilas even in a honorary positions...AUckland has 7 councils plus the ARC...in the end it all just Auckland where as Cambridge is simple not Hamilton or Te Awamutu...Waipa District Council is that right?
