Nice one Colin, that's a nice colour scheme. So, is the Commonwealth Games still going ahead then? I hope our World Cup doesn't turn into such a shambles. I had to laugh when I saw the Indian Minister in charge was called Dikshit. Imagine election time, "Vote for Dikshit" or the slogan, "I'm With Dikshit". ;D

New for me but here for a short while now is the Boeing 777 of Royal Brunei replacing the 767 they used before. I think they have 6 in the fleet and this one is V8-BLF. Cheers

Love the pic of the Royal Brunei 777 Colin. It looks so much bigger and bulkier than the Air India 777 in your previous post.

Love the pic of the Royal Brunei 777 Colin. It looks so much bigger and bulkier than the Air India 777 in your previous post. Thanks. I was in the lower car park for the Royal Brunei at Puhinui and the new paint job might help. It is ex Singapore Airlines 9V-SVD and about 9 years old. Another shot when it taxied for departure: The Air India 777 is a long range version so quite rare. 14 hours from and to Delhi? I guess it will return after the games are over. Cheers

This one did a low pass and over shoot. There seems to be a lot more bird activity around the airport and must be quite a concern for operators. Perhaps Spring has something to do with it and even Ardmore has more bird activity than aircraft movements at times. Colin

There have definitely been a lot more birds around - we've been digging nests out of the AAC C152 for the last couple of weeks now.

Wonderful photos Colin, the 777 is a very attractive airliner. Leo, don't you guys use bungs?

The 777 really suits RBA colours! A mate of mine has just converted onto it from the 767 at RBA, and loves flying it.."a 767 on steroids" The 777LR is a beast, almost 40% more thrust than the ER, and a handful at light weights Great Pics Colin....msg sent to you as well

Joe, the birds get in through the little gap in the rear fuselage behind the rudder, which we don't have a bung for. I've suggested sticking a piece of foam in it with a red streamer, but that idea hasn't been taken up yet.

Rarity perhaps not but it does have one of the forum members working in the cockpit. Well done Steve and on time too! :-) The sun came out again after you landed. :-( Cheers, Colin

Thanks once again Colin! We somehow managed to get in on schedule after being stuck at the holding point in Melbourne watching 737 after 737 of the "shark patrol" (Virgin Blue) landing, which meant we sat there for about 25 minutes before getting airborne :-) The Tasman crossing was the longest stretch of turbulence I've experienced as either a pilot or passenger, 3 hrs of light to moderate chop. Our cabin crew did an admirable job of coping with a meal service and some airsick passengers, all whilst being bounced about by the bloody Tasman weather!

Silly question I'm sure, but why are there so many Qantas and other Aussie aircraft with ZK serials? Are the registered in NZ for any particular reason? I just noticed on the last couple of flights home. Have I missed the obvious or am I imaging it?
