Later report indicates that the Po-2 is LY-ASZ. This registration does not appear in any of the Lithuanian civil registers that I can find online, so presumably the aircraft has spent some years out of service.

I was hoping the Po-2 would be painted in that colour scheme, the former Pat Donovan machine now at Shuttleworth shows how stunning a choice it is. EDIT: Magnaman, were you trying to post your pic from NZCA?

It must have been painted like that very recently as I saw it outside only a few months ago and it was still in overall green.

The undercarriage legs and fairings look like they're still in the old green paint.

Lovely morning at Ardmore yesterday, bit of heat haze even. I wasn't expecting to spot the DC-3 as it is on tour, but I saw on their FB that Besty cracked a cylinder in Te Anau last week . Were planning to be back at Ardmore yesterday afternoon. The Polikarpov Po-2 appeared on the NZ register on 15/04/2019 as ZK-POL, with a registered paint scheme.

Nice looking plane. Did the PM maybe charter it to get home to NZ?

Nice. Haven't seen MAF for a bit, I think it is online with the Tauranga Aero Club at the moment.

I feel like Beech got more than a little "inspiration" from the Tomahawk when they designed the Skipper.

I wonder if they flare any better than a Tomahawk does when landing...
