Sad. Were the Stukas and Hurricanes there too?
At least the Hurricane/s and one Stuka are flying or soon will be.
Maybe one of the Me110's might too one day.

One of the ME 110s is on static display and I think its in Germany but cant quite remember.
I remember the Stukas were in a bad way as you would expect and one or two were to be restored bought up to static display condition and swapped with overseas museums.
Yip what could have been alright.!!

Yes, two of the 110's were combined to create a pristine static example in the Berlin Museum. The thirs is in storage somewhere and there's always that possibility that someone may buy it to restore to fly. Let's hope anyway. As for the Stukas, one is to be restored to flight in the UK.by RLM Aviation very soon. See their excellent website here rlm-aviation.co.uk/ju87r4updates.php

Actually, the Stika resoration is scheduled to start in less than a month, on the 1st of August 2006. It will tak 3-4 years to restore they reckon. As it is registered G-STUK I assume this means it'll fly. I wonder, 2010 Warbirds Over Wanaka?

Sadly I have just been reliably informed offline that the Stuka project will probably not be a likelihood for restoration any time soon, despite what their website says. A great pity.
