yes indeed they still have the long steep flying fox there which was alot of fun and also we all saw the company car there but werent able to get a voice in but some that were at the camp like commandant lieutenant colonel Campbell and a W/O were there on that day. I do think though the wasps did reck it as there were alot of nests and which ruined some of the activities we did concerning Navigation. Also unfortunately we did have to share a bus ride with the NAC Power Flying people but the ride was so long it went from about 1330hrs til 0500hrs the next morning as we had drop offs to do in rotorua, Hamilton and others but the bus ride was not all boring as I had made a very close personal friend. Enough said.

well the cadet does it again except this time its two courses in a two week period. Ok so heres the news I've been accepted for Junior Leadership course which is the equal to training to become a Cpl pretty much alows me to be promoted to that rank. Also I have heard that I've been accepted for Air Force Experience so heres the deal anyone that is at Hobsonville or even Whenuapai airbases from 6 - 13 April, 2007 and you see a bunch of cadets hanging about the place look for cadet Douglas as well as looking for me during that time I will also be visiting the bases and all squadrons and all operational flights like the ESS and Safety and Surfaces ,etc. from the 17 - 21 April which will be alot of fun. I am extremely looking forward to both courses and im sure all others are as well.

Good one Darren. Have fun on the bases, we used to get cadets coming through the sections sometimes doing this. Usually they were really interested and motivated to help. Some of them are probably in the Air Force now.

What's happened to all the other cadets who used to post on the forum? You seem to be the only current cadet here now.

Having their own forum shouldn't stop them from also participating here. There were several enthusiastic ones who contributed to the forum as a whole, not just the ATC board. Oh well.

I meant Mr Douglas has his own board here, not that the cadets have another forum.

Ok yea I wouldn't even start that aye. But yea I would be doing the Air force experience but like most courses transport must have changed or something because they have moved the date of it to the 9th - 13th April which is during my junior leaders course. Damn.

It looks like I have to drop one all together as Junior Leaders is a key course when it comes to cadets as it is a promotional course. to become a cpl basically.

Well so far so good I got promoted to CPL a term ago and on my Junior Leaders course I was Top Academic Student out of 50 Students I was number 1 yaya. Also I am applying for Navigation and Senior Leaders. Hope to be promoted to SGT in May next year and be in the Air Force as either an AWO / Navigator or AWS/ AEOP which should be fun if I do get on but are found medically unfit which I wont I will return to the unit as an Under Officer. due to have done recruit course.

Haha very nice input guys. Umm I am sort of looking mostly at AWS as it would give me a chance to progress and be able to tell rather than just jumping the rank ladder and also it would be a more interesting job to do.

It's great to hear you're getting on well and progressing in the ATC Darren, and good luck with the recruitment process. I considered going for Navigator quite seriously when I was joining up, but the recruiter said i had to be good at Physics. So I took a physics class and hated it, so I opted for Safety and Surface instead. I took the much better option in my opinion.
