Teletext reports today that the NZ Army is putting its 69 Armoured Personnel Carriers up for sale. I assume this is the M113's.
It says they are being advertised in NZ and overseas for sale. However it also says that because the vehicles were made in the USA (in the 1960's and 1970's), the Yanks have to approve the sale.
As they have mucked the RNZAF sale of Skyhawks around, I guess anything can happen from here. I hope a few stay operational in NZ collector's hands.
