Dave, I'm with you regards the CA-18. Gorgeous! Gavin, where'd you find it? And are these FS9 or FSX?
That P-40 shot's terrific, very John Dibbs!
Of course I remember you! I'd find it hard to forget such an important member of the MWA scene! I love your real-world photography, BTW. Great work! I'm looking forward to meeting up with you when I'm next down that way, I'm disappointed we couldn't bump into each other at CF07.
Also, were you by chance bidding on a replica Pour le Merite on Trademe Monday night? I'm "snodawg"...

Gavin, how do you get rid of the computer "jaggies" in your screenshots and make them look so photo-realistic? Cheers, Stu. p.s. ditto Dave's comments on the Mustang

Great costume. I did bid on the Blue Max medal but I have one already but am after a longer ribbon. I found the P51 on Av Sim, cant remember where though but just type in Mustang. Its an FS9 aircraft

Cheers, Stu. p.s. ditto Dave's comments on the Mustang Not sure why the jaggies arent there. I just followed Zacs instructions and thats how they have appeared. Perhaps it something to do with my monitor. Its a 21 inch HP but cant think of what would make the pictures different apart from that.

I love that Freedom Air airbus, and the racing Spitfire. Is the latter based on a real scheme?

I would have caught up with you at CF 07 but didnt realise you were Howard Hughes as well. Great costume. I did bid on the Blue Max medal but I have one already but am after a longer ribbon. Thanks! I was planning to go as HH on Saturday and Guy Gibson on Sunday, but I missed out at the local costume shop. Re the ribbon, the gentleman I bought the replica from on Monday is looking into finding a full length one, if you're keen I can get you the price and availability? That Connie really is drop-deap gorgeous! Stu, I want your PC!

That Connie really is drop-deap gorgeous! Stu, I want your PC! My PC is probably a bit dated now as far as flight sims go (2 years old). I found the trick with the screenshots was to use the nicest (most realistic) looking aircraft - set the game resolution as high as it would let me - have a bit of a play with the weather, sun and aircraft position and then move the spot view around until it looked just right on the monitor, zooming in or out as required. When it was in Photoshop and at 1024 x 768, I did a very slight blur, resized the image to 800 x 600, did a slight unsharp mask and then tweaked the contrast a bit. No specific settings, just until it "looked right". Still a feeble facsimile of the real thing so often displayed by numerous talented people here on the forum. Cheers, Stu
