I note that some of the Flight Sim guys and girls will meet up online and fly their aircraft together.
If you all got military aircraft, you could hold a miliatry exercise. Something like Wise Owl, or Fincastle, etc. Could that be done? Meet up and compete based on a real exercise? A historical one would be good.

Probably could Dave - but I don't have time to fly on line myself and I don't have broad band. The only issue is that if you fly in a particular aircaft you got to make sure the other "pilots" have the same aircraft installed in their flight sim - otherwise you get wierd scenarios like a 172 going 300 kts as the flight sim will pick any aircaft if the the other player dosen't the aircraft installed (clear as mud?).

Hey Dave It's really great to see some enthusiasm for online flying. Have you heard much about the VATSIM network? It's a network of worldwide servers that you can connect MS Flight Simulator to and fly in virtual worldwide airspace. You can choose to either fly or be an air traffic controller. There's a big New Zealand contingent who hold weekly fly-ins at certain spots around the country. If you're interested, check out www.vatnz.net There are a few extra packages you can install to get around some of the problems Naki was talking about too. Cheers Richard
