Back in the olden days of the 1980's, Byron Godferson's Yellow Aircraft company made nothing but 1/5th scale WWII r/c aircraft kits. Every summer he held a fly-in and airshow that featured Striking Back, a totally 1/5th scale recreation of a battle from WWII.
In 1988 his scenario included a huge 1/5th island with oil refinery, 1/5th Sherman tanks, B-25 Mitchells, Dakotas dropping men, Mustangs, Corsairs, Zeros and a huge 1/5th scale carrier Akagi! The Zeros actually took off from its deck.
Dad used to have the full length video but foolishly gave it away. here's a short excerpt that's SO worth watching...

Oh, he had the 1989 video too which had all the above plus Hellcats and a B-29!
