Hi all, I missed this thread entirely while I was away. There are some interesting suggestions and points of advice discussed here.
I was wondering, greaneyr (welcome to the forum by the way) have you had any success yet with what you hoped to do?
It's great that we have so many excellent photogrpahers here now, especially in the league of Alex, Glenn, Colin, Peter, Bob etc. Discussions like this will hopefuly encourage others to post their images too.

Hi Dave
Thanks, it's great to find a place where you can chat about aviation photography without having to pay money!
I have had a little success, yes. One of my photos was printed on the cover of Air Nelson's Safety Link magazine and the same photo is to be used in an advertising brochure for a company who service the PW100 series of engines. The latter has earned me some money and marks the first ever 'sale' of one of my photographs! It was a goal for this year and, despite having to wait until December, it looks like I'm going to get it.
These two publications have made me rethink the market I would like to aim at. Not the operators themselves but maybe those who provide services TO the operators. Arguably, more 'boring' photo sessions, but if it gets me work then that's what matters.

Congratulations. Well done. Keep at it and we'll be seeing your photos everywhere soon I expect. And the ones that don't quite make the money shots are still more than welcome here on the forum where at least they'll be appreciated by like-minded enthusiasts.
