Geting jealous of these Wellington shots so here are some movements from CHC during the last few days. Seeing more and more ANZ 777's, and not many 747's. regular everyday in the afternoon. All doors open this was parked outside the RNZAF Air Movements area yesterday Not sure if it is to be repainted in Air Force 1 colours or not. Thought this was a Canadian Armed Forces machine for a start but upon closer evaluation, just a visiting VIP, anybody got any clues.

CIA in town again? thats a nice looking C185 as well, very tidy bush plane. The aussie Beech 350 is interesting too - its got a lot of the Raisebeck speed kits (including winglets, which our B200 dont have) but it appears to retain the standard mainwheels, not going to the big low pressure sets ours have - I would have thought it would be beneficial for aussie outback strips to have these as well. The stripe pattern is obviously the standard beech scheme now - its identical to the 42 sqn B200 "swirly" scheme!

I think the 185 belongs to the father of a RNZAF helicopter pilot, name escapes me at present. I spoke with the son last year (he was part of a flying instructor course at WB) and he was doing some flying in it. Maybe he uses it to go to work now?

Yeah, nice work there, Beags.
I notice that Emirates always seem to park their aircraft with all doors open - even when it's raining, like the one I saw in Melbourne recently!
Maybe their passengers and/or food smells bad, so the aircraft needs a good airing out after each flight? ;D

The RAAF B350 I took a photo of is still there. I did notice during last week that the cowls were off the engines so I am wondering if ther eis something wrong with it and it is awaiting spares or it might have been due a certain servicing while here. I have not seen it fly and come back. It just gets moved from time to time to accommodate other visitors. Surely it must be getting homesick. Have they got enough that they are able to have one sitting in the sun here for 2 weeks doing nothing.

Nice to see these photos, Christchurch gets such a big variety of aircraft, more so than any other aerodrome in NZ. What happened to your blue skies

Nice shots, Beags! Thanks for sharing. Are the "Pigs" still over there? They always seem to park the F-111s in a bad spot whenever they visit Christchurch!

They are still here, landed about 12-30 today. Does anyone know how long they are here for and if they are flying around the same time each day?

Based on noise from that side of town, they took off about 20 minutes ago.
It would be nice to know some times.
