That would be awesome! OH6 is on hold for the moment til I get hold of some white glue and extra sanity, Ceres has been waiting for filler - which I now have, no excuses now! - and have recently started a model of our Squirrel with spray gear. Plus the RNZAF F-35B ;P

Every time I visit this thread I get a thrill at those images!
Just popped by to say I;ve started my campaign to get Anigrand Craftswork - producers of the experimental and esoteric in resin - to produce a kit of the Fu24. Also suggested the FD25 Defender and, of course, the Cresco. Fingers crossed...

Are Anigrand a US company that make huge resin models of C5's, C141's and the like?
If they could do a kit that would be excellent. It would be a momey spinner in NZ and Oz.

Just researched them then, from Honkers. Sounds good Zac, hopefully they can get something going for you and the rest of us!

Some great work there Mike, have been following your progress and she's looking awesome. Some time ago I mentioned on another thread that I would be making a kit Fletcher, I have over the last 3 months been very busy making plugs and moulds. The whole aircraft is made of fibreglass. I have already completed all componant parts, just got the wing control surfaces to make. and to take a mould of the tail and stabilator. Last night I completed the wing moulds and cowling (its a fletcher 400) and is ready for laminating with GRP. Fuselage is already done and 'Painted-In-Mould' as will be all parts, Will vac form a canopy later tonight and will post some pics up tomorrow or tuesday after the wing is completed and joined in mould. All parts are extremley strong and need no formers, also reinforced with carbon fibre. Its a little larger coming in at 1/20th scale. But a good size for filling up and giving the garden a dusting ;D
Cheers. Alan

Bump? Surprise surprise, no reply from Anigrand or High Planes Just a thought High Planes postal address is Thowgla Valley,Victoria. I've never heard of it. Was this one of the locations effected by the recent fires if so i'm sure they have other things on their mind. Paul

Why not try Dave Lochead at Kiwi Resins?

I have met the bloke (name escapes me, sorry!) who runs High Planes at a model convention in Australia (where he managed to get $100 out of me) and I was having a chat to him about his business and so forth. He only works weekends and creates all his moulds and that himself, which if you see his range is actually quite a lot of models. You might have to give him some time, but I will be catching up with him in May otherwise. I am still working on my Fletcher and hope to have an update soon. My progress has been slowed by the fact I have found some employment recently (rarer thing in Oz ) but I am just working on the flaps now. Then will be time for white primer, paint, undercarriage and then a bit of cow poo weathering I have to say as one fletcher builder to another, that Alan's 1/20 efforts are superb and I have to highly recommend his model, it seems it will be fantastic. The construction will be very straight forward and I am definitely keen to place my orders and options. I am already working on a 400 hp lycoming and seats and instrument panel for mine when it comes through. I aim to still make mine available on an interest basis, but it will be more difficult to make my version. I will have a chat to my mate in Roto Vegas and see what we can do, after all having two fletchers in the pile has to be better than none . Thanks to Alan, he may have bought me some time to refine the castings and also work on the 400hp and Walter options... ;D Also Zac, I owe you some decals for your Cere's, I can give you the artwork I have for BSQ or I can make some others up if there is a particular mark you want. Please let me know and I will print them and put some bonder on them this weekend. It might pay to give them a quick coat of gloss before you place them, to make sure they don't fall apart (I would hate for you to put me in the Airfix decal quality bracket) Cheers all, Mike

BSQ would be fantastic, Mike! Much appreciated - dusted off the Ceres yesterday and continued filling the wing roots and undercarriage wells. Will be interesting to see if High Planes could do a 1:72 one....I'd easily buy five...Robertson turbine, James turbine, Super Air V8, the prototype.....ooooh, the possibilities! Dave - I emailed Dave L and discussed the Fletcher with him some time ago, he mentioned the masters take some time to make up (understandable) and some other factors - perhaps agplanes don't quite fit in with his plans for Kiwi Resins. Ah well!

Kiwi Resins has been going through some major changes at the moment, all positive by the sounds of things. Perhaps in the future when the company settles down he may come back to the Fletcher or Cresco

Great news! After building Dave L's Vega Gull, I'd gladly invest in some Kiwi Resins 1:72 Fletchers!

Black Robin Resinz, I think part formerly of Kiwi Resins, is unaware of the existence of said aircraft types......! Now that you're back to normality Mr Stokes, hows about an update? ;D Pretty pretty please with a 300 on top?

It has been a while, and I am slowly starting to get towards final construction. A few things remain, my fowler flaps are still drying in the jig, and the ailerons still need to be made (as well as the wing tips), but I can show the efforts made so far on the undercarriage. I have made the front wheel as per BOF's particularly busy fork, with a mudguard, support brackets and a mud flap. This has all been made out of sheet brass, and like Alan, cut as a template and then folded. I have a bag of small cut brass and aluminium tube, and I have expoxied a sleeve to fit over the oleo onto the top of the fork, and then boxed this in with plastic stripping. A bit of paint and at the end of construction I will be able to slip it on quite easily. The wheels at true scale come out slightly oversize , however I believe this is not too noticeable, but like Alan, I have had a horrible time trying to cast wheels and thanks to good kiwi modelling powerhouse Airsail, the fletcher has wheels. There is still a lot of detailing to do on these (such as brakeline detail and the oleo compression struts), however they certainly give the fletcher some shape, especially when compared to the retractable versions I have shown thus far ;D I hope you enjoy! Cheers There is that familiar shape... The front wheel detail, this had the challenge of having to be scale like, but also strong enought to handle the large amount of weight sitting directly above. In flight...

Shes looking awesome Mike! The mudgaurd looks great - definetely a fiddly bit. (By the way my wheels also are slightly oversize by about 1.5mm but not noticeable) Adding on the scissor compression links and brake cables will bring it to life especially when painted. Congrats mate, shes really looking awesome!
Cheers. Alan
