Christ if there were they are looooong gone. The Fletcher header probably did it. I can hear them now: "A Fletcher? Wheres the Spitfires and Corsairs or at least a Hudson?" (Sorry Zac I know I will burn in hell for this) ;D

We used to have a lot of excellent female contributors such as Twilight and Magic, but they have dropped off these days for some reason. NZ has a lot of female pilots and girls involved in aviation so I don't really know why we don't see more enthusiasts among them here on the forum. It's a pity.

Much as I love Fletchers, RNZAF-marked P-40s are awesome. Great header Dave! It that a retouched/colorised wartime image? Or a retouched "warbird"?

Thanks. It is one of my digital artworks based on several sources but the P-40 is an American based warbird.

If you're wondering, the idea behind this header is to show the Tiger Moth popping the balloons like they used to do in the old airshows. The Tiger Moth is actually the one from the Air Force Museum.

There's a coincidence, Baz62 and his wife (my sister in law) share the same wedding anniversary as you, except they will be celebrating 5 years of wedding bliss.

Yes a cunning plan as 6th of June 1944 is a day I always remember! (And Teresa, bless her, got born on Battle of Britain Day! September 15th! I can't lose!) ;D
Congrats Phil82 for getting to 40 years !!
