It's nice to know this news is finally out in the public, I've been holding my breath for ages on that one. Imagine, three Spitfires in the air together, the first time in NZ history.

Bump!
Is Mk.IX BR601 still with AvSpecs? I only saw one Merlin Spit in the hangar when I was last there.

According to the CAA's website, in September ownership of the two-seater has changed from Lasbrook Holdings to an outfit in Drury called Warbird Adventure Rides Ltd.
Maybe I should start saving my pocket money?

Zac ... if you do a search of the companies register you will find that Warbird Adventure Rides is jointly owned by Frank Parker and Liz Needham

Not really Zac, as a matter of course the operator of an aircraft (whether the legal and financial owner of the aircraft) is shown as the owner on the CAA register (simple explaination). I guess the aircraft is now officially available for joyrides under Part 115 Adventure Aviation along with the P-40 and H.arvard

Well if the TR9 is now open for joyrides, I think it's time to save the pennies!!
