Makes me feel all shaky with excitement! What a thrill watching her this weekend, John Lamont's display on Saturday fulfilled every hope and expectation I had.
So, now that NH799 has flown and is back at Avspecs to have the finishing touches added etc, my mind turned to the next Spitfire to fly in New Zealand. Might it be TB252, also at Avspecs?

No one will be more pleasantly surprised than I (and the owner as well I am sure)if TB252 manages to grace the NZ skies in 2016 The possibility of seeing Four Spitfires flying together at an air show in NZ some time in the near future will be a sight to look forward too. Joe

Joe Yes we can only hope the US owner will allow it to happen and not get taken apart and shipped over once test flying is completed. It has happened in the past so fingers crossed.

I was fortunate to visit AvSpecs last Saturday with Dave and TB252 seems to be an active piece of work, with nary a dust bunny to be seen. No pics as I decided not to risk it with the Mosquito so close by.

I hope the next owner decides to complete the restoration here and we get to see a four-ship of Spitfires at a Kiwi airshow. Dreams are free

No it will be kept as original Errol and will be quite something once completed.

Be neat to see three MK IX/XVI Spitfires in formation or 4 with the XIV.

No it will be kept as original Errol and will be quite something once completed. Cool. Checking out cut-aways in the meantime, a fuel tank is ahead of the cockpit (which makes sense from a CoG POV of course).
