Guys,
I'm about to start building my 1/48th scale Airfix B2 Canberra as T13 NZ5161, the last bubble canopy Canberra to be built, and want to finish her in camouflage markings.
I can't find any good images in my references so can any tell me the size of the upper wing roundels? I thought the original 84 inch roundes were reduced to 54'inches when the original High Speed Silver was overpainted but I'd love confirmation.
Thanks in anticipation

Hi Andy. I'm pretty sure they were 84" in all positions but can't put my hands on the file I have the sizes noted in at present.
I'll hunt it down to confirm or deny!
Cheers, Pete M.

[glow=red,2,300] The official scheme for the B(I)12 camouflage repaint states that all roundels are 36" diameter, I would assume that this applies to the T-13 camo repaint as well[/glow]

I've never heard of our T 13s being in camo.

Some of the leased RAF T-birds in Singapore were camoed, but like Shorty I've never seen one of our ones in camo.

I don't know if you would be interested in these RNZAF T.13s. Thought I had your NZ5161, but see it is NZ6151, instead, along with 6152 6151 is BCU,Whenuapai in 1965 6152 is BCU, Whenuapai in 1964

The two T13s NZ5161 and NZ5162 were delivered in the silver overall scheme and this was not changed during their service with the RNZAF, as they were Ohakea based trainers and not on the ORBAT for deployment for operations. (They did however, manage to deploy during regular Vanguards to SEA)

NZ 5161 is a typo, there was only NZ6151 and 6152

Brilliant guys, I never realised that they stayed HSS, I was going by the mess that is the Classic Airframe colour scheme.
I was thinking of using the Alley Cat conversion as it solves the issue of the mishapen Airfix canopy, but the cut will make HSS harder. I have both the Classic canopy and the Ventura one and neither are anywhere close to the Airfix opening.
So, Maybe I'll use the Ventura vac Fuselage and the Airfix wings.
