As I put the Golden T-bird aside until I get some decent decals, needed a TA-4J to be displayed on our trade stand at SME/Nats in Wellington in September. This is the Hasegawa kit built straight out of the box. International Orange is a mix of Gunze red and orange and is a perfect match for the FS fan deck colour chip. White is the only colour I hate painting more than natural metal. This is 4 coats with a micro-mesh in between. I decided to mask the white for where the US national insignia will go so as to prevent colour bleed through the white portions of the decals. Still have to mask and paint the red areas under the slats and the black anti-glare panel and nose cone tip.

Just back from the Nats and while I didn't get anything finished for competition, the TA-4J was sitting on our (Niche Models) Hasegawa trade stand . While it is essentially finished, I did not get a chance to give it a wash, but looked good enough on the day(s). Will finish off this week and get some better pics. www.nichemodels.co.nz/gallery/TPS 1.jpg[/IMG] www.nichemodels.co.nz/gallery/TPS 2.jpg[/IMG]
