Rambo is back. I think I may save my pennies for something else though. The last time he went into battle, John Rambo was helping the Mujahideen fight the Soviet army in Afghanistan.
That in itself was not a bad achievement for a character who was supposed to have quit the military after the Vietnam War.
But in Hollywood, anything is possible – which is why a 60-year-old soldier is back in action, this time to rescue Christians from Burma.
61-year-old Sylvester Stallone has been in Las Vegas for the world premiere of Rambo – the fourth film of the franchise.
Along with his wife and three daughters, Stallone was joined at the premiere by California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
“My kids were crazy about it,” Schwarzenegger said. “I loved the movie. I think everyone is going to love the movie.”
“The story’s real,” Stallone told press. “I mean it happens. The characters are of course fictional, but there are real characters that do that and the violence that you see in this movie is not movie violence. This is actual re-enactments of what of what I’ve seen.”
The new Rambo film hits New Zealand screens on February 28th.www.tv3.co.nz/News/Ramboembarksonfourthouting/tabid/423/articleID/44334/Default.aspx?_cobr=MSN

He was on Letterman and said he wanted it to be more deep and meaningful and actually portray the plight of the people in Myanmar. Hmm, will a Rambo film really help change the world?
