Couldnt do it on NZ roads - the cheap ship seal and potholes would spoil your day big time! those European roads must be pretty smooth. (and a serious descent rate). Poolguy, the only steep windy bit of road around here would be Sanitorium hill - which has the aforementioned chip seal....

No I think we originated it....
"In March 2001 a student was killed when she and another student attempted to travel down Baldwin Street(worlds steepest street) inside a wheelie bin. The bin collided with a parked trailer, killing one of the occupants instantly, and causing serious head injuries for the second."
