Dave...hope you don't mind me advertising for syndicate members on the forum...please remove this thread if it is in anyway contrary to forum rules or your wishes... The Great Stunt Company syndicate are re-forming a partnership in order to purchase a two seat aerobatic aircraft. We are looking for new members to be involved in this exciting new project. Are You Interested?? All details are up for discussion, but heres a few "starters for ten"... - A modern 2 seat fully aerobatic (preferably certified) aircraft. Strong possibilities are either an Extra 300 or Pitts S2C - Possibly based at Ardmore, but dependant upon new syndicate composition and wishes - Monthly subscription to cover fixed costs (hangar, insurance, etc) with an flying hourly rate to cover variable costs (fuel, oil, maintenance, etc) - Recreational, competition, and airshow aerobatics focus - Aerobatic experience not required just enthusiasm! (experienced instructors available) - Share costs are obviously dependant upon the final number of syndicate members and the aircraft selected, but a "ball park" price would be between $7,500 to $15,000 per share a small price to pay for your own high performance aerobatic aircraft. For further information, contact Mike Slack: 021 648 486 or Email: tgsc@aerobatics.co.nz Website: www.aerobatics.co.nzOr contact any of the current members of The Great Stunt Company.

Dave
I thoroughly endorse this request.
The Great Stunt Company was set up in 1990, with the sole intent of importing a 2 seat high performance Aerobatic Aircraft. 19 like minded people took up the challenge and eventually N260J (aka ZK-MAD) was purchased.
It would be fair to say that MAD and the "Great Stunt Company" was a successful syndicate, and has to some extent formed the backbone of advanced aerobatics in New Zealand. Many of the original syndicate members have gone on to purchase their own aircraft (Edge 540, Zlin 50ls, Extra 300L, Giles G202, Thunder Mustangs etc.).
It would also be fair to say that many, many people have screamed, yelled, sweated, swore, laughed, gasped, and yes even chundered, with their Aerobatic experiences in MAD. Everyone who has flown in her, or flown her will forever be changed.
I believe that there are enough existing and aspiring Aerobatic pilots out there who have the initiative (balls!) to keep the ball rolling.

Thanks Richard....and for those that have already seen some of the "flyers" (pun intended!) advertising public meetings...the Auckland meeting date is TBA as the original date conflicted with the TG Airshow...no point in excluding the bulk of our prospective members because they want to be watching aeros somewhere else!!!!

Public meetings will be held in the Waikato (Aeroclub 4pm Saturday 13th Feb) and Ardmore (Auckland Aeroclub 4pm Sunday 14th Feb).
All welcome.
Tell your friends.
Options are available for purchase to secure your place in the syndicate for $250 each (to cover syndicate setup costs and pre-purchase inspections, etc). Each option: - will allow 1 vote at any syndicate meeting - will be transferred into the partner's capital account once the syndicate is formed as $250 - is only refundable if the syndicate is NOT formed by 31 March 2010 (with any costs incurred deducted prior to refund) - may be on sold prior to the syndicate forming - will have a value of $0 should the owner not purchase a share in the new syndicate
Be in quick...there are a limited number of these available!

I think we've found an aircraft!!!! Details are available on Barnstormers at barnstormers.com/classified_297330_1995+Extra+300.html but in short it's a CERTIFIED 1995 Extra EA300 (mid wing) although it's quite high airframe hours (clocked up whilst positioning and practicing with the Northern Lights formation aerobatic team) it has virtually new engine/prop, nil damage history, up to date with ADs, new paint and interior. Photos suggest that it's a "minter". Log books are available for download a from www.eliteaircraftsales.com/Elite_Aircraft_Sales/1995_Extra_300_Mid_Wing.html . So where to from here? To progress further we need $$$!!! The aircraft needs to be inspected by a LAME and negotiations commenced with the owner. I will NOT progress any further without the FINANCIAL backing of at least 15 others!! At the recent public meeting it was decided that we would offer 20 shares at $15K each. This should be enough to get this aircraft into the country and leave us a (small) kitty to start operations. I will have a trust account setup in the next couple of days. Those that are keen need to reply to me ASAP to get account details. The first 20 who deposit money will secure their share. Members of the old Great Stunt Company can secure their share by allowing me to retain their payout from the old syndicate. Others will have to show me the actual "colour of their money". A suggested partnership agreement is available...but as there is yet to be anyone actually sign up to it, we all have the opportunity to amend anything. NOW'S YOUR CHANCE - DON'T MISS IT!!

Looks good, and that seems like a very reasonable price for an Extra 300 too.
