If you mean the Vildebeest composite photo, this is an old header that has been recycled. It must have been up originally before you signed up. I'm glad you like it.
I wish we could really see one of these beautiful old bombers up flying.

Ah, rightio. New to me then. LOL.
Was just thinking exactly the same thing. What with all these WW1 types being replicated etc, there would have to be the skills and maybe even the major components to work from. Oh, and the money. ;-)
Add to that a 'What-a-pity' and...

There would be the skills around indeed, but it's a more complicated aircraft than most WWI types as it was all metal, not wood, airframe. Also there are very few drawings in existence sadly, though Wigram and the Subritzky family are doing well with their restorations of the Vildebeest ad Vincent respectively. Another hurdle might be getting a serviceable Pegasus engine, not too many around I'd think and most of them would be on the front of Swordfish's.
There is a replica Wapiti under construction and there was some talk it was coming to NZ but that all went quiet.
I'd love to see a Baffin recreated too.

Totally agree with it being a more complicated aircraft but had not realised the Subritzkys had a Vincent underway. Last I heard was they were doing well with the Oxford. They are full of surprises!

Haven't the Subritskys got the remains of a Baffin? Or is that Bunny Darby or someone......?

Charles Darby has the Baffin remains, and I'm told John Smith owns a forward fuselage from a Baffin too, siting out in the weather!
