Hi all My daughter finished her 13 weeks of Common Basic Training at Devonport yesterday. Leandrie is the short one in the middle: She then took part in the PT demonstration: Leandrie is on the left of the top three. Later the day HMNZS Otago arrived from Australia on her (very) delayed delivery voyage. One of the inshore patrol boats. Not sure which one though?

Congratulations Marcus - you must be very proud of your daughter?
My best wishes to Leandrie; may she have a wonderful career and future in the RNZN.

P3571 is HMNZS Hawea. I was a bit worried when I saw the first pic of Otago, it looked like they had installed the bow thruster above waterline! I guess its just a painted marking so the tug captains dont break it.....

Well done that woman! You must be very proud. I hope to be feeling the same way in the near future as my son Daniel goes into the Army in August.

Great stuff Marcus, my congratulations to her. It is an awesome moment in any service personnel's life to reach the achievement in passing out. It's interesting to see the RNZN also does the gymnastic display at passing out, like the RNZAF does. It's not something I remember fondly but it probably looked good for the audience. Does the Army do this display too?

Hi all
Thought I would share the following two video clips I made of my daughters graduation parade. I had to wait a few weeks before I could post them to Youtube as I was not sure if I was allowed to do it. The Navy gave me the go-ahead recently. Thank you Navy!
Regards
Marcus
