WOW! We are truly privileged to have you amongst us on this forum Gavin.
Are those crests either side of the Yak cockpit 14 and 75 Squadron RNZAF?? Arthur flew on both Squadrons so they may well be?

The camera ships were Harvards 66, 53, 57, and Nanchang 20. Good spotting Don, one is 75 Sqn and the other is 14sqn, and here is one of the close ups I took and I have another of the other side which I will find. Wanaka is great for photos, in fact the La-9 shots with the blue sky were taken just south of Omaka as the aircraft headed North after the show.

Nice work, Gavin.
Is that luggage behind the pilot's seat in the La-9?

Hi Craig, yes it is luggage, one of the perspex sections unclips. Would be great to squeeze a second seat in the beast.

Cheers Gavin.
I hadn't noticed that bundle before in the La 9, so I suspected that was what it was, but wasn't 100% sure.
