Nice job.
Is that Italeri kit the same mould that used to be released by Revell and Monogram?

Nothing shabby about that. That fellow's done a fine job, thanks for the link.

No, the kit is the same mould as the Occidental kit, the Revell Monogram is a much older mould but has a nicer cowling shape according those in the know. I like both equally and I suppose if you have the money you can cross kit.

Does anyone make a nice Harvard kit in 1/32 scale yet?

Does anyone make a nice Harvard kit in 1/32 scale yet? Not to my knowledge Dave. There might be some crowd somewhere who have possibly done a short run resin or vacuform thing but I've never seen nor heard of one.

You'd think it would be a big seller, everyone used the Harvard, the USA, Britain, Canada, South Africa, NZ, and so many countires postwar, and there are loads still flying now all over the world. Tamiya should do one.

Tamiya should do one. Not sure there would be that many people willing to part with $200-$300+ NZD for a Harvard kit Dave, since thats what it would cost if Tamiya did it! Not sure it would be a big seller in Japan either, and since that is by far the biggest market for the Japanese manufacturers it is unlikely to be a goer. Revell of Germany on the other hand I would see as a more likely proposition for a Harvard in 1/32, or perhaps Trumpeter (China). Either would be much cheaper on the shelf than a Tamiya kit. 1/32 is undergoing something of a revival at the moment, with lots of new subjects being produced, and some older moulds being re-released. There might be hope of a big Harvard yet...

Yes true, the price of Tamiya and Hasegawa kits is just extortionate these days, particularly in 1/32. I just about died when I heard the prie of the Tamiya 1/32nd Spitfire. Revell would do it well and have the right market, being worldwide and having a large US following.
The Japs had Harvards (or their own licence built variant, they had a licence built variant of everything up till 1941, very industrous) so there might be some sales there. They could always convert them to Tora Zero's. ;D

It is undergoing a revival Mumbles, lots of people seem to be building 32 stuff. I will do the 32 Tamiya Spit IX down the line but I would never have the room for just 32 builds, especially WWII subjects. I've got the Revell 32 Tiggie planned as well but I won't be changing over to 32nd in a big way.
