Hi All Not sure if this has been discussed before, but I just found a link to a family owned museum called the Tauwhare Military Museum near Cambridge (Dave it might be worth a look....) which seems to have a couple of aviation items in it. Here is the link militarianz.freeforums.org/tauwhare-military-museum-t2080.htmlAnd here a couple of interesting photo's "The Museum is about 15min south east of Hamilton on the back road from Morrinsville to Cambridge, Victoria Road. You would have to ring to find out if the museum is open or not, their phone number is 07-8240867 and ask for Andy, who is only too pleased to show you through and talk military stuff. There is a door charge of $10 a head. .Could be worth a look.... "

Andy Moreland had a very comprehensive collection at tauwhare, however it is now not open to the public except by arrangement. The majority of his military vehicles have been moved to Tauranga to form the basis of the Tauranga Military museum (Part of the Classic Flyers Complex) The original Eagle Airways Bandeirante ZK-ERA is still outside the Tauwhare complex, and the last I saw there is still a Vampire tailboom and a few smaller bits as shown in the photos.

Looks like a Wright Cyclone 1820 off a Hudson/Lodestar in the first shot. Would the turret be Ventura?

I took these photos and plenty of others in the weekend and posted them on the militarianz site.
Andys museum at Tauwhare is now more comprehensive than ever, as he had vehicles stored away in other sheds that he has now brought out on display. In fact he told me he would never have the room to put the stuff from Tauranga if he ever had to bring it back. He is there most weekends, working on his bits and pieces. He is only a phone call away. I don't think the turret is from a Ventura, Andy got it from Australia.

Yeah. I thought it looked more like one off a Lincoln - Motat has a similar one.

If I remember correctly the MOTAT one came from Argentina. They thought they were getting a Lancaster turret.
