Could anyone tell me if Keith Parks Hurricane was a fabric wing version or a Metal version? Is there any photos of it also? Nothing turns up when I Google'd it....
Cheers
Dave

Which one, OK - 1 used during the B of B or OK - 2 used while serving in Malta?? I have a private un-published photo of OK - 2 but it's slightly out of focus & taken at a distance so i am unable to say whether it is a fabric or metal winged version.

Does anyone know where to find more detail on Sir Keith Park's "OK 1" Hurricane? I've been searching Vincent Orange's biography and Battle of Britain books in the library, for more information on how and when Keith used OK 1, but haven't been able to find a lot. From what I have read, he used OK 1 to travel between airfields under his command. One article I read suggested he flew during operations, but that does not fit with him needing to be in the command center to direct his squadrons against German threats as they presented themselves. Any suggestions on where to find more information about when and how he made use of OK 1 would be appreciated. Sir Keith Park and Hurricane OK-1, 15 June 1941. Perhaps the RAF Museum at Hendon or the UK's National Archives will have the aircraft's movement card or Form 700, which might help with some clues?

Think its more likely to be Hendon Dave. They have a bit where you can fill in a request for information and have usually been able to answer my questions when asked even if in the negatory...

OK-1 P3854 would have been metal covered, the initial aircraft from this batch were farbric covered but most were metal winged
