SQN LDR (RTD) Ian Grant Brausch K80647 Pilot RNZAF 9 January 1962 until 21 June 1968 and 25 July 1969 to 3 June 1985 and 30 April 1990 to 14 October 2011. Passed away 2 February 24 in Auckland Hospital. Ian is survived by his wife, Barb, and two sons, Christopher and Adrian. Passed away peacefully at Hawke's Bay Hospital on February 1 2024. Aged 100 years. Dearly loved husband of Doreen for 76 years. Passed away suddenly 30th January 2024. Beloved husband of Ina Kilburn nee Stone reunited again. Brother to Laurie and Lee. Survived by children David, Louise, Giselle and Charlotte. Gene Kilburn: For many years from the mid-1990's Gene was one of the resident Civil Aviation Surveyors based at their Rukuhia/Hamilton Airport office. I don't know when he retired.

Cherished husband of nearly 57 years to Louise, very loved and missed Dad of Letica and Brent Howell, Robert and Jenna. Adored Grandad of Samuel and Louisa; Brianna, Oliver, and Oscar. ACW (RTD) Cushla Gail Watson Nee Williams MT DRVR RNZAF 1970's. Cushla was also an well respected Detective in the NZ Police for quite some time.
It is with a heavy heart that we have said goodbye to our beloved Cush. After a long-fought battle with Myeloma, Cushla passed away peacefully on the afternoon of 14 February 2024 surrounded by family and loved ones.
Treasured wife to Frank of 42 years. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law to Heather and Bob. Beloved mother and mother-in-law to Tate and Sam, Marcus and Tandi, Laura and Javan. I'm interested in the circumstances under which the late SQN LDR Brausch served three stints over a 49 year period - roughly 6 years (1 year gap) then 16 years (5 year gap) then 21 years. His commendation was during this last stint
That would be very unusual wouldn't it?

My father Danny McBride (Dennis Eujene McBride) died last night 22 February in Redcliff hospital Australia after a struggle with cancer. Dad served in the Air Force many years ago as a Ground Radio technician and then later as a civilian in the avionics factory before he retired. He was 79 years old. Kind regards and thank you. Very sad news, I saw Brendon only a few weeks ago, unfortunately at a memorial event for another aviation colleague who passed away unexpectedly recently. He was a lovely man who would have issued a very large number of professional aviation licenses and ratings to pilots all over the country over the years in his role as a flight examiner.
