Beautiful shots Gavin, and almost impossible to pick a favourite, they are all so good. The first Tiger Moth pair (BEN and BAL) just knocks my socks off, the colours and the classic lines ... wow! Wishing you a happy Christmas and holiday break as well, and thanks for all your fantastic contributions to this forum over the year, a highlight for me, and so much appreciated. Cheers, Chris

Simply stunning!
It is posts like this that makes this forum really special. Well done Gavin on every single shot, they are all fantastic.
A couple that stand out for me are the first photo of the Zero and P-40N, what an amzing opportunity to see these two combat veterans of the Pacific campaign together in NZ. And the composition of the four Beavers in formation makes it one of the photos of the year in my opinion. The site of two Be2's together is unique to NZ, and wonderful to see. And it is great to see you've done a shoot with P-51D 'Dove of Peace', one of NZ's least seen and often forgotten warbird stars.
The first La-9 photo is outstanding and reminds me of a John Dibbs calendar I had in the 1990's. Back then he was considered the world's best at warbird air to airs. You easily equal him in my opinion. The Harvard NZ1078 pulling high G and producing ectoplasm ;D is great too. My last pick of the best is the Iroquois stack, just superb.
Well done mate and Merry Christmas.
A question, which in your opinion was the greatest opportunity and thrill to be able to fly beside and shoot?
