I have in my possession a wartime booklet titled Return at DawnThe official Story of the New Zealand Bomber Squadron of the R.A.F. from June, 1939 to July, 1942. This publication was written by Hilary A. St.George Saunders, issued by the Director of Publicity, Wellington, New Zealand, and printer by A.V. Paul, Government Printer, New Zealand.
The booklet's cover is in a tatty condition and held together with what appears ot be extremely old clear tape, but the inside pages are all intact and in good nick for their age. I will try to share some parts of the booklet here, but need help with scanning and posting etc.
Dave, can you help me? Please check your Private Messages.

Just to let people know, i have the book in question and I have promised Joe I will scan and post the pages he is most interested in.
I just pulled it off the shelf and had a flick through. I had forgotten just how comprehensive it is, and how many great photos of the Wellingtons and the people.
Joe (and anyone else that has the book) if you go to a few pages in from the back to the photospread "New Zealand's Here", the photo on the right page at the bottom, of all the young Kiwi airmen relaxing on the grass... The airman in the centre with Sgt's stripe showing and hat on, is Donald Law from Cambridge. He was in fact a fighter pilot, not a bomber pilot, and the photo was taken just after they arrived in England at No. 3 PRC, Bournemouth. the photo also appeared in newspapers in NZ. Sadly Don was killed at an OTU in his Spitfire. I have been working on the pages of the three Law brothers from Cambridge, and hope to have a more complete history of Don soon online on my webpage.

Here are the scans that Joe asked for, but alas due to the old shiny paper, though in reality it looks fine, when scanned they sometimes tke on a grainy effect. I'm not sure how to stop this happening. The Cover

These ones are extras Joe didn't request - I thought they may be of interest to those modellers who're going to by the Trumpeter 48th kitset.

All scanned from the book Return at Dawn that Joe mentioned. It's a truly excellent book.
