I thought I would draw attention to four new books I saw in Paper Plus last night. Unfortunately it was just before closing so I didn't get the opportunity for a decent browse. "Courage in the Skies" by Paul Harrison & ? Memory still affected by ear problem! I had bit of a skim and it seemed to be a aimed more at people with only a smattering of knowledge but closer inspection may change that impression. "Letters from Gallipoli". A very quick skim but it looked good. Dave, there were aircraft at Gallipoli! ;D "Kiwi Battlefieds". I didn't have time to look at that book. "Last of the Human Freedoms". This is a book about French people who during WW2 assisted New Zealanders at great risk to themselves. I assume most if not all were NZ Airmen. This looks to be very interesting covering as far as I am aware, a subject which has not previously been canvassed in any depth.

Quote from my birthday thread: "The book Teresa got me is by Paul Harrison (tbf2504) and Brian Lockstone (not sure if he is a forum lurker) called Courage in the Skies and is about New Zealand Airmen at War. (Paul: One Avenger Photo? Seriously? ;D) Quite a few photos I haven't seen before and now I know why some of the Harvard photos show aircraft partially bare metal and painted!Nice mix of current aircraft in the book too including a certain Corsair."

There's already another thread devoted to "Courage in the Skies" by Paul Harrison & Brian Lockstone on the forum somewhere, including dome infor from Paul himself. It's a nice book. I'd like to get a copy someday.
