As part of the Commonwealth wide Bomber Command day wreaths were laid at the NZBCA memorial on Sunday 5 June. The service was conducted by Rev.Jack Ward, a BC Veteran having served as a Navigator on 195 and 75 Squadron. Thanks for that report Peter, and to Phil for the photos. I never knew there even was a Bomber Command Day, is it an annual ceremony? I'd love to get along to the next one if I can.

Yes , it is an annual event, started in Australia. Next year we intend to make it a focus for BC survivors followed by a get together. The next NZBCA event will be in October at MOTAT to see the new extension and BC displays. A newsletter is about to go out to members and families.
