A Lodestar and a C-60 are the same aircraft, C-60 being the US military designation and Lodestar being the manufacturer Lockheed's name for it. The Lockheed Lodestar was a twin engined transport developed from the Lockheed Hudson bomber. The spelling Loadstar is incorrect. The RNZAF used Lodestars for transporting personnel, cargo and mail around NZ and the Pacific, operated by No. 40 Squadron and No. 41 Squadron. One was fitted out for VIP transport too, used by Chief of the Air Staff and the Governor General, etc.
The Airspeed Oxford was a twin engined trainer, often fitted with a gun turret on top. It was used to train multi-engined pilots, air gunners and navigators. It was also used in a variety of other roles such as calibration plane, transport and hack, and even as a defensive bomber during the invasion scare of 1942.
The Dominie was the military name for the de Havilland DH89 Dragon Rapide twin engined airliner. These were used by the RNZAF in No. 42 Squadron and other Communications Flights such as in Fiji. They were simply used as airline type flights for military personnel between the stations.
Google each and you'll find lots of photos of what they looked like.

Dave,
Thanks you sure do know your stuff!
I noticed the C-60 in the book needed two pilots, so I was guessing it was a big plane.
Have you ever heard of these people?
Knowles Wilson Warren Garret Howe McLeod Armstrong Abbott Corbett Johanson Bills George Clouston Steel Chamberlain Hewett Penrose Bates Bryant Douglas Middleton Keelan Bray Woolhouse Carter Osbournr North Authur Bromfield Reid Sumner Hopwood Marshall Waymouth Jones Lewis Fenton Finch Marton Bade Phillips Bell Pipper Lawson Canning Patterson

luthermoore, seeing as it's a wartime logbook you are obviously looking at I would suggest you read the threads on Wartime aircraft on the RNZAF board, (there is even a thread called "The Oxford Pile") It will probably do wonders for your aircraft ID, you may even find photos of the exact serial number of the aircraft in the log book Then I would start working your way through the other boards especially the preserving history one.
