Chained myself to the desk last night, in a major effort. No. 2 commission is now officially wrapped. I'm done. Well, apart from a minor glitch when I noticed CA had dripped on the prop. Sanded and touched up now, so there. What I learned from this is, don't let it drag on. The SBD-5 could've done with better care. This took close to 10 mths, what with procrastination and study. In the end it's an improvement on previous builds and that's the win. A few notes on improvements. Re-worked IP S/b seat harness. Drilled out MG ports and exhausts. Access holes added to u/c bays. Wing t/e thinned. S/b cowl flaps. Stretched cotton bud shaft for aerial wire, painted black. Wing roundels and serials compliments of Pete Mossong. All white stripes are painted and masked. Humbrol and Revell enamels. Cheers Ross
