I'm pleased to see that, according to Hannats site, AZ are coming out with a couple of Oxford kits in 1/72 for those who've stayed with the one true scale. ;D Lets hope theres some RNZAF decals among them. Steve.

Cool bananas.
It looks to be a nicer kit than the Sangar 1/48 kit of the Oxford. And I guess those roundels supplied for NZ1376 will suit almost all the different schemes.
There are so many options for RNZAF Oxfords: SFTS schemes:- - overall silver - overall yellow - dark green, dark earth and yellow underneath - dark green, dark earth and sky underneath or The CFS scheme or The No. 1 (B) OTU scheme
And Oxfords were also used by operational squadrons including: The New Zealand General Reconnaissance Squadron No. 1 (GR) Squadron No. 8 (GR) Squadron No. 10 (GR) Squadron No. 2 (GR) Squadron postwar No. 14 Squadron postwar No. 75 Squadron postwar

Full details of the kit are now up, including all parts, decals and colour schemes: www.modelimex.com/1-48-airspeed-oxford-mk-i-ii-commonwealth-serviceThere are TWO RNZAF options, the red/yellow striped NZ1376 and a camo / yellow NZ1222. Who would have thought we would ever see a 1/48 injection-moulded Oxford at all, let alone with RNZAF decals?

I picked one up at Telford on Saturday. looks good in the box, but so did the Classic Airframes Anson...
It has the above noted RNZAF machines and a reasonable amount of brass etch, and vinyl masks but no resin. I'm starting it after finishing Irving Smith's BoB Hurricane.

Got a couple of Oxboxes on their way from Modelimex. Look real good from the previews and parts screen shots.

Sorry guys, I lied about the lack of resin, there is quite a nice selection but it was hiding in the corner of my box.
