I have visions of an A4 bit of paper sellotaped to the console with "Dont Push This!!" and a big arrow drawn on it!!

They obviously hadnt modded that one yet! Seriously tho-who wouldnt notice a 130 deg list? Just because its dark? I havent flown in a long time so maybe thats just me. Any regular wide body fliers care to comment on that?

I'm no wide body flier but if you manouevre with the same loading ('g') as you had before the change in flight, and there are no outside cues (i.e. it is dark) then the vestibular and semi-circular canals in your ears will not detect any change in movement. That would require absolute darkness outside and a real careful change in direction to avoid loading the aircraft. A series of sharp manouevres may confuse the passengers into thinkin git is turbulence. But I doubt this manuoevre was all that subtle or the pilot would never have let it get to that point.
