One question: whats that clamped to the upright on the 2nd photo- a rain gauge??? Ha ha. No. I've had that before. It is a very simple (but very effective) airspeed indicator. Works on a Venturi type design.

interesting concept. I thought the only indicator you'd need on something comstructed from scaffolding pipe and cable ties would be that if you're going fowards than everythings OK??

Darren, what are the wires off the trailing edges in the photos, does this machine do wing-warping.

Darren, what are the wires off the trailing edges in the photos, does this machine do wing-warping. Hey mate. No, this particular one does not 'wing warp' but there are some that do. I have a massive rudder (which I steer with alot of the time) and spoilerons. Below describes what the wires are for (for trikes although a similar principle):

hi Darren, much smaller than the one at work then! ......soiling had crossed my mind too. It looks really neat, sittng on it rather than in it would be my concern.

Is it true the higher you go the narrower the seat gets? She would be good for bombing competitions, hovering over the spot.

Ha ha nice comments guys My mate had a microlight once he named 'broomstick' ;D Yes, the higher you get, the narrower the seat gets but then I jump out of aircraft too so yes, I really am mad!
