I take back what I said about a nice enough scab patch, it's actually bloody awful !!. Hole not cleand up, patch not central over the hole, insufficient edge distance for the rivet, poorly formed rivet tails, and we havent even started on the other holes, whoever did it needs to go back to the skin phase at TTS.

Yes I think you are right regarding the landing gear door scenario Shorty. Maybe the protruding pieces are cowl fasteners, of the hook and ring kind? One half of it is split. Really hard to distinguish what it is, let alone try to guess what it is from.

I was also thinking it was part of a cowl. The white panel looks almost like it's bending into a nose.
