If theres anyone out there that can answer my question....I'll be doing a 2-week rotation from Perth-Auckland for a good portion of next year until the rest of the family moves over.
Now I wonder, is it worth sticking to one airline to reap the rewards of loyalty (Insignificant that may be..) or shop around every single time for the best price? I've been looking at flight costs at the mo, and theres not that much in it if I travel light and dont expect much in return, but are the loyalty schemes( for example, but not limited to : ANZ Airpoints) worth the bother?

It really depends on how often you will be doing it. Rewards schemes only seem to work for those that fly regularly, ie, business travellers. I would have a look around at different prices as fares do vary. Agreed though, alot of airlines (including full service) are going for the module we have in a LCC, ie, adding on entertainment, checked bags, meals etc etc.
