Hi everyone, with a rainy new year's on the way I have decided to do some model building, and finally get on to my 1/72 Fairey Gordon. I want to build this one as a target tug, with the wind driven winch prop out the side. Does anyone have any photos showing this installation in any detail? Also, whilst most Gordons were boring silver and black colours, I have seen some pictures which suggest that some may have been painted yellow. Being back and white pictures I cant be sure, and yellow is notoriously difficult to identify in WW2 images! As they were in use in WW2, it is possible that some were yellow, but does anyone have any evidence to support this? A yellow Gordon would look better in my collection than another silver biplane!

Hi Bruce. I have seen a photo somewhere of a Gordon with the towing winch. I am sure the colour scheme is the same as the other Gordons, Silver with Black top. Will look in my collection in the new year to see if I have it.
